At Earease we offer a comprehensive ear wax removal service, delivered by a trained professional audiologist at our clinic in Eastbourne or at your home in the surrounding areas (Eastbourne, Hailsham, Polegate, Heathfield, Pevensey, and Seaford). Same day and weekend appointments are available.
We use the latest equipment and techniques which include microsuction, irrigation and manual removal. Offering a same day service in Polegate to both adults and children, ensures that we can ease your ear symptoms without the painful wait.
The safest and cleanest way to remove ear wax from moderately blocked ears is the microsuction method. A probe is gently inserted then connected to a vacuum pump to suction out the excess wax from the ear canal.
If you only have a small amount of ear wax that’s built up in the entrance of your ear canal, manual removal is the best option. For this, a variety of tools may be used to safely remove wax from the ear canal.
This is safer, gentler and more effective technology than the old “syringing” method. With water irrigation, body temperature (37°C) water is used to flush debris out of the ear canal at a low pressure.
If no ear wax blockage is found, then we can perform a range of non-invasive tests to determine what the issue could be and advise as necessary. We can also write a letter to your doctor with recommendations and a referral to ENT if needed.
You may need ear wax removal if you’ve been experiencing any of these symptoms:
If any of these symptoms sound familiar, then ear wax may be the cause. If so, you can call or book an appointment online, I will be able toc heck your ears and remove any wax that may be present. I will also provide an ear health check at no additional cost.
Please note.If you have an ear infection, ear wax removal won’t be a suitable treatment for you, but some of the symptoms could be the same. Make sure you see your GP first if you’re also experiencing: High temperature, Discharge from the ear, nausea and vomiting, scaly skin in and around the ear, low energy or fatigue, sore throat,or severe earache.
